Summary: Sho, a famous singer, is always acting cold and distant with anyone trying to approach him. One day, his manager discovers that the young man is hiding a painful secret that is eating him. After making him meet Aiba, a strange horse rancher, Sho will soon realize that maybe this mysterious man is the only one able to understand his scars and create a link stronger than anything.
Chapter 6:
"Sorry!" Nino apologized, pulling away. Jun chuckled silently and shook his head before pecking Nino's lips quickly. The older grinned and took Jun's hand. They entered the house where they found Ohno with his arms full of food. The young manager smiled softly when he saw the two boys holding each other's hand and asked them to prepare the campfire.
****
"Here we are." Aiba stopped his jeep. The two men stepped out of the car and walked towards the large supermarket.
"Wouldn't it be easier to let Oh-chan buy the food?" Sho asked.
"He wanted to let us to have some alone time," Aiba shrugged.
"Eh?" Two shades of red grew on Sho's cheeks and Aiba burst in laughter.
"I'm kidding! It's just that we buy the meat in a special place. A friend of mine has a farm."
"Oh," Sho mumbled, trying to hide his disappointment.
"And it's a good occasion to spend time out of the ranch." Aiba took a shopping cart and entered the supermarket.
"I have always wondered something..." Sho started.
"Hun?"
"Does Nino have any family? He lives with you and nobody comes to see him."
"Kazu is an orphan."
"Oh."
"His mother died from a cancer and his father was an alcoholic. He died in a car accident when he was drunk. Kazu was 12 and in the back seat of the car."
"My God..."
"His father died immediately and Kazu was in a coma for two months."
"How did he end up here?"
"He ran away from the hospital. The social assistant came and I found him sleeping in one of the stables. It was Niji's. I had Niji for only one week. It was hard to approach him, but he let Kazu sleep next to him. The next day, I asked for the adoption paperwork."
"It's kind of you to take care of a child."
"It was hard. Kazu was very wild and didn't talk. He started to take care of the horses and with time, made lots of progress."
"You're like his father."
"No, like his brother. Kazu is my best friend and my little brother. I'm happy he has found Jun."
"I don't think it's a good idea to let them..."
"First, it's none of your business and I think it will be good for Jun. Let him live. Don't protect him too much. Jun is safe here and he is 17 years old. It's normal at his age to have a boyfriend," Aiba smirked.
"Pervert!" Sho chuckled.
"Why?"
"I know that look, Masaki. You are implying that I leave my baby brother to have sex with another boy."
"Me? Never!" Aiba's eyes widened innocently.
"Don't take me for an idiot."
"And what? Don't try to make me believe you're a virgin."
"No, but I'm 27 years old."
"And when did you lose your innocence? If you ever have been innocent," Aiba laughed, avoiding Sho's slap.
"16, but it's not the same."
"Boy or girl?"
"Girl."
"How was it?"
"Bad. Maybe it's one of the reasons I started to date men."
"When was your first time with a man?"
"16. I slept with her brother the next day."
"Oohhhh," Aiba laughed.
"I prefered him."
"Top or bottom?"
"Bottom."
"Oh, that's surprising. I thought you were a top."
"I am. But I was only 16. I was weak," Sho chuckled again.
"How was it?"
"Very good."
"So, you're a top..."
"And you?"
"Am I a top or bottom or when did I lose my little flower?" Aiba smirked, winning a slap on his head.
"When?"
"I was 17 and very in love. He was 30 years old."
"Eh? That's old!"
"He was married and had children, but he told me he would leave his wife. He gave me an amazing first time."
"He never left her, ne?"
"No. He died before he had a chance. There was an accident with a horse. He was a great rider and did many competitions. His horse fell as they were jumping and it crushed him."
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Aiba forced a smile. "He had planned to leave her. He had asked for a divorce but died the next day. Funny, ne?"
"Life is unfair." Sho took Aiba's hand, making him smile weakly.
"Yes. He was fantastic. He was a lot older, but I felt as if I knew him before. He treasured me so much. My first love and maybe the last one," Aiba sighed.
"You never dated anyone after?"
"I did, but it didn't last long. I haven't found someone able to understand me and ready to live this kind of life. I will never leave the ranch. Horses are my life."
"It's a beautiful life," Sho smiled.
"Thank you."
"What do we need?"
"Marshmallows."
"I don't like them." Sho pouted.
"Eh?!!! Are you crazy or what?! Marshmallows are the best!"
"They're disgusting."
"We can buy other sweets as well as marsallows then."
Sho's eyes almost came out of his head as he watched Aiba climb on the shopping cart and pushed it with his feet to make it roll.
"Yeahhhhhh!" Aiba cheered.
“This guy is completely crazy,” Sho thought as he rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"Come behind me, Sho-chan!" Aiba exclaimed. With a sigh of despair, Sho ran after the cart and climbed behind Aiba, his cheeks blushing when they bodies pressed together.
"Youuuuhouuuu!" Sho laughed as Aiba was screaming like a child. The pair almost bumped into a wall and laughed hysterically. They ignored the shocked and offended looks they received from other customers.
"You really are crazy," Sho laughed.
"Have you ever done something crazy in your life?"
"Mmm twice. At a party, I was drunk and the next day, my navel was pierced."
"Naughty boy," Aiba said mockingly.
"And when I was 20, I made a tattoo."
"Honto?! Where?!" Aiba exclaimed.
"Himitsu," Sho smirked.
"On your dick?"
"Aiba!" Sho blushed when an old woman gasped at Aiba's words. "Of course not. On the left of my groin. Not far from the navel."
"Can I see it?"
"In your dreams!" Sho chuckled, making Aiba pout.
"Not fair."
"I know. And you?"
"I..."
"Masaki-kun?" The two friends jumped and Aiba's smile disappeared when he saw the man in front of them.
"Naoki-san." Aiba bowed slightly.
"It's been a while." Sho stared at Aiba with a frown. The young man's face was paled and he was biting his lower lip nervously.
"Yes. How are you?"
"Good, I guess. The house is empty without him." At the words of the man, tears filled Aiba's eyes and Sho decided to stop this painful moment for his friend.
"I'm sorry sir, but we are in a hurry. Excuse us." Sho grabbed Aiba's hand and dragged him toward the cashier.
***
Once in the car, Aiba stayed silent. He was lost in his thoughts and even if Sho wanted to ask, the sadness in the younger's eyes prevented him to so. It was none of his business after all, but he cared for Aiba. The young man had welcomed him freely and was helping his baby brother to get better. Just because of that, Sho would always owe him something. When Sho stopped the car, Aiba left it without a word. Sho followed Aiba into the house where they found Ohno dozing off and Jun and Nino cuddling. Two shades of red grew on Jun's cheeks when his eyes met Sho's, but the singer smiled slightly and walked toward Nino.
"If you hurt him, I swear you won't be able to ride a horse ever again," the singer whispered in Nino's ear. The young boy shivered but nodded with serious eyes.
"Let's get started!" Aiba exclaimed cheerfully.
They all left the house and sat around the campfire. Everyone except Sho grabbed sticks of wood so they could put the marshmallow on the tip.
"So, Masa starts the story?" Nino exclaimed.
"Why me?"
"Because your stories are good," Nino shrugged.
"Mmm. Which one?"
"The one with Ghost."
"Okay. Once upon a time, there was a young girl who was living in a rich castle. Her parents had decided to live elsewhere. She left her school and her friends, sad at the idea of being alone in a new place. The girl loved horses and left the one she was used to ride behind when she moved away. The new castle was big and empty. She never felt at home, but one day everything changed."
"What happened?" Sho asked curiously, drinking in Aiba's words.
"She found a young horse lost in the forest. The horse was bleeding and was in a bad state. As she loved horses, she took him home with her and healed him. The horse was very beautiful. Its hair as white as the snow and she decided to name him Ghost. Quickly, they became the best friends in the world and the girl didn't feel alone anymore. A deep trust grew between them to the point that she could even ride Ghost with a blindfold. But one day, the dream turned into a nightmare. The girl was sleeping and someone woke her up with a scream. The stables were on fire. After running outside, she realized that Ghost was still inside. Without even thinking twice, she ran into the stables to find her friend. Ghost was panicked but he trusted her with his life. She managed to help him to leave the stables after climbing on its back. Ghost was so afraid that he ran away and made her fall. She hit her head on a large stone and lost consciousness. When she opened her eyes, Ghost was lying next to her, trying to warm her cold body. She knew she was going to die. Her head was bleeding and she felt her strength leaving her body. The girl stroked her friend's neck lovingly, whispering how much she loved him and Ghost never left her side until she closed her eyes definitely. After that, they never found the horse. Rumors say when you walk into the forest, you can spot a beautiful white horse on the hill, neighing in sadness."
"It's so sad," Sho whispered.
"Yes. But it shows how much a horse can be close to you when you give him your heart."
"Is that why your horse is named Ghost?"
"Yes. Our bond is as precious as the girl and that amazing horse."
"Masa, could you sing a song now?" Ohno asked wiping his eyes discreetly, though everybody had seen the tears on his cheeks.
"Even after all this time this story makes you cry,” Aiba chuckled.
"Oi!"
"Okay, okay." Aiba laughed and took his guitar.
Sho stared at Aiba with glimmering eyes. This man had something so amazing in his voice when he sang. It was as if he was shining himself, like the stars in the sky. Aiba's face was so beautiful with the campfire illuminating it. A soft smile spread on Sho's lips.
Aiba's eyes met Sho's. They stared at each other while the younger was singing, something budding in this contact. Masaki smiled softly and it was at this moment that Nino and Ohno joined him to sing. Their voices harmonized in a perfect way. However, Sho couldn't stop staring at Aiba, thinking he was damn beautiful like that.
"It's a pretty song," Sho said when Aiba stopped.
"I also like it. Let's drink!" Aiba exclaimed, taking a bottle of vodka. They didn't see the others leaving discreetly to let them be alone.
"Vodka? Are you crazy? Where is the beer?!" Sho gasped.
"Beer is for children. Vodka is a drink for real men!"
"Baka!" Sho giggled and took the glass Aiba held him out.
After a while (and only a glass), the two friends were laughing moronically, completely drunk.
"What will I do tomorrow?"
"You'll work with Spirit. We'll see if he accepts you on his back."
"Isn't it a bit early?"
"I think it can work. Spirit likes you." Aiba smiled softly, eating a marshmallow. "Don't want to try?"
"No. Thanks."
"Mouuu. Sho-chan isn't kind," Aiba pouted trying to eat his marshmallow but it fell on the ground.
"It's disgusting." Sho giggled.
"Try."
"No."
"Please."
"No way."
"Mouuuu!" Aiba continued to pout with shining puppy eyes.
"Okay, okay." Sho chuckled, rolling his eyes and approached Aiba who put the candy in his mouth.
"Verdict?"
"It's still disgusting." Sho laughed as he lost his balance and fell on his back.
"You really have no taste," Aiba sighed in despair, laying next to him.
"It's you who has no taste," Sho replied.
"Sho-chan~?"
"Hun?"
"I think I'm drunk," Aiba giggled.
"Baka. It's obvious you are." Sho pinched Aiba's nose playfully.
"You too." Aiba turned his head to stare at the older intensively.
"You're all red." Sho smiled, his hand touching Aiba's cheek. The younger froze but kept looking at him for some seconds.
"Well, it's late. We should go to sleep." Aiba suddenly stood up and put out the fire before entering the house silently. "Don't make any noise!" Aiba chuckled, saying his words too loud.
"You have to be quiet, baka!" Sho laughed, slapping Aiba's arm.
"Mouuu. Sho-chan is nasty!"
"I am not."
"I won't ever talk to you again."
"Eh?! Why?!" Sho gasped.
"Because you're nasty!"
"No, I'm not!"
"I want a kiss or I won't forgive you," Aiba whined childishly.
"No way! You stink of alcohol and horses!" Sho smirked, almost falling against his bedroom's door.
"Mouuuu," Aiba sobbed and turned around.
"Aiba?" Sho asked worriedly. "Masaki?" The singer turned Aiba around to see him crying.
"Sho-chan doesn't want to kiss me," Aiba sobbed.
"Baka! Come here." Sho grabbed Aiba's neck and pulled him in a kiss. At the beginning, it was just a simple kiss but when their lips met, Sho slipped his tongue in Aiba's mouth. He pressed their bodies together. The younger moaned, wrapping Sho's neck with his arms to kiss him even more. "My bedroom?" Sho whispered between their kisses.
"I want you so bad, Sho." Aiba nodded with hungry eyes.
Sho grinned and pushed the younger in his bedroom. The door slammed and soon, moans of pleasure broke the silence of the house.
To be continued...
A/N: I'm posting this just after coming back from the big manifestation in Paris for Charlie Hebdo. It was incredible to see so many people in Paris streets, more than 2 millions Oo I can't believe it. I'm so proud that everybody felt concerned by this tragic event and decided to manifest against terrorism and to honor the persons who died the 8th and 9th January. It was great to see everybody walking and singing the Marseillaise together. Today, everybody was French, everybody was united in this so horrible moment. There wasn't any religion, skin's color, there was only people here for the liberty's expression and for the peace. Here, I stop my babble but I was so proud of French people and of course of the people who came from other countries, thank you so much ^o^

Look up at the sky, see the stars?
They're just up there shining beautifully

Shooting star, fall this way and please wipe your tears
I just want you to stay here smiling peacefully
Look up at the sky, see the dawn breaking?
Our new days are about to start here
I just want you to stay here smiling peacefully
Look up at the sky, see the dawn breaking?
Our new days are about to start here
Aiba's eyes met Sho's.
Bathed in sunlight, I want to protect your smile
Here with you, shining so beautifully now
Let's stay hand in hand and keep on walking together forever
Here with you, shining so beautifully now
Let's stay hand in hand and keep on walking together forever
"It's a pretty song," Sho said when Aiba stopped.
"I also like it. Let's drink!" Aiba exclaimed, taking a bottle of vodka. They didn't see the others leaving discreetly to let them be alone.

Here you can see some pictures :D

Hahaha, Sakuraiba is like super wasted. I wonder how their reaction will be after they sober up.
Sakuraiba were casually having conversation on their past love experience and their first time. I find it lightening funny. Hehe
Sho is starting to acknowledge Matsumiya. I like the "soft" warning. So big brother-ish.
And thanks for the glimpse into Aiba's past. It seems like Aiba has scars of his own to heal as well. Maybe Sho will remind Aiba of his own advice so that he can start to heal.
Thank you for the latest chapter!~

wow Sakuraiba WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Sho can heal his heart :)
What happened was terrible, that kinds of things should never happen in life is very unfortunate and sad, indeed. I was watched the tv and the manifestation was really big and I hope that, It can help to persons understand that nobody want that happen again in France and other countries, and any kind of violence is horrible.
